Guest Speaker in 3PO310: Jaroslav Lhota on Nomadism and Travel
In the course 3PO310: Freelancing and Digital Nomadism, we welcomed Jaroslav Lhota, a Czech traveler and co-founder of the travel agency Adventura.cz, which he has successfully operated for 36 years. Jaroslav brought authentic stories from his journeys and shared practical advice for life on the road.
He emphasized not only the romantic side of travel but also its risks:
- Health-related (diseases, vaccinations)
- Political (ideologies, conflicts)
- Cultural (religious differences, dietary habits)
- Climatic (e.g., working at high altitudes)
Students gained a realistic perspective on nomadism, including the digital kind, and understood the importance of planning and adapting to diverse conditions.
We thank Jaroslav for his unique insights into the world of travel and nomadism. His experience reminded us that freedom on the road requires responsibility and preparation. We look forward to welcoming him again!
