Startup VŠE competition

The Department of Entrepreneurship within the minor specialization Entrepreneurship – Startups and Innovations organizes the Startup VŠE Competition every year. Students have the opportunity to present their business plan and get feedback from an expert jury composed exclusively of managers or owners of successful Czech companies. The competition is regularly attended by students of the Entrepreneurship Practicum course. The winners of the competition have the opportunity to receive interesting prizes from sponsors and can apply for a place in the business incubator within the xPORT VŠE.

5 projects from a total of 22 projects that applied this year have advanced to the final round of the Startup VŠE competition.

Siberlogy has become a VŠE startup 2024.

The winner of the Startup VŠE competition is Siberlogy, a project that comes to the market with the intention of offering orthopaedic patients and their patients custom-made orthopaedic insoles, thanks to 3D printing. “We will save orthopedists time, help them in their work and still offer them a bigger commission,” explained Zdeněk Tejkl, student and creator of the project, which is now in the stage of refining and testing already usable prototypes. He will use the scholarship of CZK 100,000 to buy a 3D scanner or another 3D printer.

In addition to Siberlogy, the Pracujvezdravotnictvi.cz project was also awarded. It is a job portal designed exclusively for students and professionals in the medical and healthcare fields. It also took home one hundred thousand crowns, which were donated by Marek Vašíček and Otakar Šuffner from FTMO. “We managed to sign contracts with 17 hospitals not only in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but also in Switzerland and Germany. This month, we will onboard three more hospitals,” said founders Simon Senčar and Aiman Al Masani.

Thank you to our general partner FTMO for supporting the competition.
